I guess you can indeed sell some people anything. I do not know whether to be astounded at the idiocy or offended by the blatant shyster marketing. But this kennel in Secundarabad, India claims to train people and their dogs in Schutzhund upto SchH3 protection in 8 weeks for the sum of Rs 25,000/- which is around $500/- at current exchange rates. Check it out folks. www.commandokennels.com Boy have I been dumb these last 2 years with all the hours and dollars I've been spending in my training program!!

It is India. It is a country with no real Schutzhund. This person and his company just use the same terms. There is no organization that does Schutzhund and dogs are not required to do squat to be shown in any of the GSD shows there which are a spin off, for now, of the old British dog shows. Also, you must realize that the average person who works in India makes a few dollars a month. Keep training.

And I do and I will ... hodie But just because it is India does not excuse this example of egregious behavior... the fact that the average person in india makes only a few dollars a month makes this kind of scam even more reprehensible.

Lonewolf, there are plenty in both this country and Europe who do almost the same thing, but for 5 times the price. And based on the web site, I do not think one can judge what does or does not go on. As I said, there is no schutzhund in India. Anyone can offer any service for anyone. There is a growing middle class in India, just like China, where people are going to be offered things that you and I would not dream of doing because we both know good training takes a lot of time. If you want to get upset, get upset about stuff that goes on here right under our noses.....that is my take on it all. I cannot change what happens in India. Hell, I cannot make any difference here either.

If we can't change things in our own backyard then I presume its prudent that we stay silent on issues we can't address thousands of miles away. Its easy to sit on a chair in front of the monitor and pass judgement on someone thats thousands of miles away by just browsing thru their website. And aren't we all loud-mouths when it comes to selling/advertising our trade? Let the locals worry about it. They are the best judge. BTW: From the website it appears that someone is making a living from training, lodging, boarding & breeding dogs. What's the crime here? We all know where the guardians of the GSD world come from. And its not Germany.

You can train a dog to SchH 3 doesn't mean it will get the titles. I have a SchH1 I am training currently, and she has all the pieces for a SchH3 doesn't mean if I put her on the field at a trial she could get her SchH2 one week and a SchH3 the next. Well, she probably could but her scores would embarrassing.

I took a dog from nothing to BH, SchH2, KK1, in about 8 weeks once. The results were definitely NOT pretty! Never again! SS
