Shelley, this has happened to some others I know and it may have been someone who has recently looked at your puppies posing as a buyer. I am in the York area. If I can help by contacting area vets, etc, let me know. Blitzengsd@comcast.net

Thanks Blitzen. Actually, I HAVE had a couple of people come here who I suspected might have ill intent. I didn't realize it till another breeder mentioned it had happened to her a few timews recently. This WAS clearly the pitter pick, meant for our club helper. He had vbeen seperated from the rest of the litter, kenneled near the door of the kennel. I pray whoever bothered to take him likes him enough to take care and keep our precious baby warm tonight. I am SO worried... It is very very cold in NE PA tonight, and he has always been in a building no less than 40F. Please say a little prayer for our Brazen. SS

Shelley, I am sure you have already thought of this but be sure to call your local police department and/or animal control. Are you certain there is NO way he could have gotten out, or a gate left ajar? If so, there is a good chance he is somewhere in the area. If he was only loose for a few hours, being so young, it is unlikely that he has gone more than two miles in any direction. Call every neighbor in every direction. Post signs in every direction up to five miles away. Paper ad, call vet clinics, animal shelters and drive everywhere slowly calling for him. Leave some food out near his normal kennel area..... I will be hoping he turns up. Keep us posted.

If you want me to contact area vets in the AM, let me know. I can cover a good 25, 30 mile radius of the York area including some of MD. Bastards........

Were the prospective buyers from your area? When talking to a possible buyer, even before they come look at my puppies, I get full names and addresses. (personal reasons). If they were not from your area, please let us know. PA is not far from me, (ohio), and I can started contacting vets/animal control in Ohio for you as well. Keep your chin up....I'm sure he is OK. Shelley my heart is breaking for you. I hope and pray you get your pup back soon. This might serve as a new way to screen perspective buyers....do what they do when taking a car out for a test drive..get their driver's license and make a copy so you know exactly who is on your premises possibly scoping it out. I don't know if it's legal to do this or not but it may prevent other breeder's from suffering the same heartache.
