My dog has kidney failure due to contracting Lepto(diagnosed in August).  I feed raw, with minimal bone, organs and lots of tripe.

I've found this site to be the most helpful: http://dogaware.com/health/kidneytable.html

Agree with OG.  We were  doing bloodwork once a month for over a year. Diet includes steamed sweet potatoe & carrots plus Chinese herbs.

Creatine is almost normal after two years on meds and diet. So far so good, blood taken  now every three months.

Thankyou all;  what ages are your dogs?  Just curious as the dog I am inquiring about is now 10 l/2 years old and I do not think his owner is going to feed raw.    Will check out the web site for dog aware...
