5+ linebredding generation - Page 1

I have been trying for two nights to view linebreeding passed the 5th generation and it will not do it. Is there a problem with the feature or is that feature no longer available?

 

Ok, so I misspelled line breeding. Guess my fingers are moving too fast for my brain.  Spelling police, PLEASE dont beat me up for it?  PLEASE???

Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?  Wonder if the admins might be able to help answer this.?

Just checked this and you are correct it does not work.  No matter if you ask for a 4 or 6 geration of line breeding it will only give the 5 generation.

Thanks Laura. I was wondering what the deal was.  I cant believe that this forum has not has a moderator around for so long that could explain what is going on.

I really did enjoy the capability to be able to research a dog's line breeding past 5 generations. I hope this is only temporary and will be once again available soon.

Well I have been around but I am not one who could explain or fix the problem.  

The other Mods have been here also but none of us knew of the problem.  Thank you for letting us know and we can let Oli know.

Western Rider, You guys are usually so on top of things and quick to take care of them, I was alittle surprised that none of you had responded.  I thought I posted  this early this morning as in before 3:00am Friday. I know for sure its been up all day today (Friday).   But now that I checked the time and dates on the comments, they are not very accurate. But none the less. thanks for responding

I don't deal with pedigrees much anymore so I haven't been in the linebreeding part of many pedigrees recently. How long ago did the feature change?

A few things - some us work 10 to 12 hours - some of us have other obligations - some of us are in other countries - some of us don't read the forums often - some of us have multiple things from the list going on - some of us have sick family - some of us have our own health issues. So, there are many many reasons we may not answer right away.

If you had said Site Issue with linebreeding or something similar we might have answered sooner but it is possible we may not have. I do know Oli has been doing some site work maybe somehow he knocked them out accidently. IDK. I will email him and ask him to look at it.

Or just simply PM straight to a moderator instead of starting a thread??

For what it's worth,there is no such thing as linebreeding after the 5th generation. After generation 5,pedigrees are considered to be essentially "open". Although I can understand the desire to know more about ancestral backgrounds!
