Supplements, just like in humans, are mostly scams and simply unproven. And price wise, if I have a specific issue I want to improve, I can generally add simple and very cheap things to food (and I feed top food), like wheat germ, fish oil, yogurt, cottage cheese or many other things to their food. Finally, in some cases, giving a dog, for example, too much of certain things can make them sick or cause long term health problems. They do not need huge excesses of vitamins and minerals if being fed appropriately. In all the years I have had GSDs, and with the many I have now, I do not need supplements.

I use the NuVet plus also and I think very highly of it. it is a high quality product and priced reasonably. I feed Royal Canin. I agree with hodie in that if it makes a " huge' difference, your feed may need to be upgraded
