I would like to research my dogs pedigree and determing if there are any foundation dogs in her pedigree. I am not even sure of what dogs are considered foundation, would that be going back 14 generations maybe? Would appreciate any advice, thanks in advance.

Posting your female's pedigree may help, it would allow those who know more about bloodlines to help give you the information you would like.

OP, are you asking about Casha - who already has a pedigree page on here - or
about some younger dog you now have ?
If Casha, her pedigree looks like a nice mix between Troll v h M, and Falk v d W.
Perhaps not the best constructed front assembly in the world resulted, but what's
her working ability like ?

If you're referring to dogs that are foundations of the breed, there's no question but that yours has several of them in her background--all GSDs do, it's what makes those dogs foundations of the breed.
If you're seeking to identify dogs in her lineage that were foundation animals for a particular kennel or bloodline, that's a bit different; you will probably be able to determine if there are any of the foundatiom dogs from particular well-known breeders, such as Kirschental [Blanka Mummelsee was one of their foundation females, for example], but for less 'famous' kennels or lines, you'd need to have personal knowledge of the names of their foundation dogs.
As to where you'll find either type of foundation dogs, the breed foundation animals will most certainly be quite a few generations back, whereas foundation dogs for specific kennels or lines could be found as close up in the pedigree as the sire and dam, if your dog is from a breeder who is just starting to build a line.
