Ava passed her AD under judge Mike Hamilton with my hubby getting the honor of a sore behind this time....I rode for Cisco's AD.
It was a little nervous because I'm the only one who handles her for any training but my hubby did a fantastic job handling her.
I had to laugh and tell him I told you so, when he told me his behind was sore. He thought it would be no big deal to ride a bike 12.4 miles and told me I was being a pansy when I complained of a sore behind after Cisco's AD......lol.
For those of you who haven't done one of these....it's not the miles...it the amount of time you have to sit on the bike that makes this event sooooo....fun

Padded bicycling shorts are your friend, lol. Congrats on your dog getting the AD.

Koots
LOL....He had padded cycling shorts on :)
His bike has one of those boy seats.....long skinny and no padding on it an he hasn't been on it all year.....I think that's why he was sore.

Wow, I am so impressed by this, that is the 12 miler?? How did you do it?? Yeah Ava, what a nice accomplishment for you both. Nan

Clc, those skinny bike seats are killers, there's a reason why some of the hard-core competitive cyclists have "reproductive" issues, even with bike shorts. Good for your husband to stick with it, I'd bet that he was ready to stop long before the dog was, lol.
Now that you have the AD on your dog, is the BH next or breed survey? I don't know anything about your dog, so if you have these already then apologies.

Congrats for you and your dog!!! The AD is a degree that i think almost every GSD is capable of achieving but so few people take the time to do it. Big thumbs up to both of you for putting in the work!

Wow, your dogs really had a productive weekend! Well, Ava deserves a WHOO-HOO too, then, as does your hubby for perching his tush on the little bike anvil for the duration of the test. Congrats!

Thanks everyone for the all the Congrats
Hexe,
LOL....LOL....a bike anvil.....what a perfect description. My hubby is the BEST. Always there cheering me on and helping me when I really need it.
I thought Ava might be tired since we didn't specifically train for this event, but not long after she was finished, she wanted to play and was picking on Cisco......that's my girl .
Thank you for your congrats :)
