I heard some conflicting info and would like to get a answer/help .Can anyone tell me if USA club accepts titles won under gsdwda ?How about DVG accepting titles earned under gsdcawda ? does USA accept DVG titles ? are their different protocals within each club listed above , pertaining to procedure for each title earned ? I noted that since 2004 gsdcawda imposed a few changes for Bh .

In a USA sanctioned trial you must use a USA scorebook and the same goes for WDA. If the judge is SV. The score will be recognized by the other organization. When the title is earned send the scorebooks to the other organization to have it recorded. If the judge is not SV or FCI recognized it will not be honored by either organization. I don't know about the DVG. Kyle

Contact the A.W.D.F at http://www.awdf.net and ask the president.. Al G is familiar with it all. Hope this helps

my understanding is that DVG titles are NOT recognized by the SV. to get recognition you have to trial under USA, WDA or other sanctioned org. that provides SV judges. I could be wrong but that is my understanding of the information given to me.

An SV recognized judge is the key no matter which organization you are trialing under.

Hi ! Every title must be reconized by the other organisation if the judge is FCI reconized. Judges of the SV,USA,WDA,ADRk,Schnauzer .... etc are all reconized by the FCI. The only differency is that: If you live in germany and want to get an breedsurvey for your GSD ,you have to have one tltle past under an SV judge with at least 80 points in protection. That does not touch people out of other cuntries. They can go to a breedsurvey in germany with a title past by an other organisation. Very best regards! USA does not recognize WDA Scorebooks (please note, I said scorebook). Titles by SV judges are recognized by all three organizations. USA also recognizes DVG titles and the DVG scorebook (so, you can use your DVG scorebook for USA trials/ But, check with the USA office about having it certified by USA). Titles by Canadian and Canadian-SV judges are also recognized by USA, as is the GSSCC (Canadian club) scorebook. Note, we are talking about trials. For show ratings recognized by the SV once your dog is titled, it is easiest if the judge is a SV judge. There must be titles under SV judges for breed surveys. Nia -

Jennlee, There is no choice of order for titles. One must get the following, in the following order before being able to go for a breed survey: BH, SchH1, SchH2, SchH3 (if completing all the titles) For a breed survey one must have completed: Hip x-rays with passing rating Show rating of "G" or better AD - the 12 mile endurance test SchH 1 title minimum *(must be more for Sieger Shows for a dog to be considered for VA status) One can get the AD anytime at 16 months or later. Show ratings can be earned at any time, there is a minimum age for the BH and therefore for SchH1, and x-rays must be rated but the rating organizations do them at different minimum ages. OFA is minimum two years of age, SV is minimum of 12 months old. The SV does not recognise show ratings or breed surveys conducted by any one other than their own SV approved judges. But some people do not need to worry because they will never send a dog to Europe or Germany anyway. The easiest thing for people who do care is to be sure to trial and show under SV judges. That is why we use SV judges. Then there is always the petty BS between the organizations that one has to deal with, but at least because it was an SV judge signing ones score book or conformation card you are covered if you do decide to send a dog to Germany. Clear as mud?
