I used to have a link to a site that gave the average size/weight of male and female GSD pups from birth to maturity, but i can't find it!
How much would you expect a 7 month old male to weigh, on the average? I'm trying to guess the parentage of a friend's mixed breed pup...

7 months they are usually more than half-grown so for a GSD-sized pup I'd be expecting in the 18 - 20 kilo range
or thereabouts. Sorry can't do pounds & ounces anymore.

HM, that would be about 40 lbs., which is exactly what he weighs at 7 months.
Want to play 'guess the breed'?
The shelter said he was a great Dane/GSD mix, but that is likely a guess. The vet thinks there may be some greyhound in his parentage, as he has a greyhound rear, and runs really fast. However, a Dane rear also looks quite a bit like a greyhound's.
He has some black on the tip of his tail, and combine that with the mask makes me sure the GSD part is correct. Definitely on the small side for a Dane mix, though.

Hello Sunsilver, Possibility of a Malinois x Border Collie. Lovely looking youngster. What as your friend called him?
Regards, Vixen.

I knew a bitch who was definitely GSD x Dane; she looked a bit like this pup, but had sl. more Gt Dane look to her head.
First met her when she was older than ths boy, nearer a year, and a little bigger - but not by that much. She certainly
didn't have the bulk of many Danes (but there is of course quite a size variance in that breed). Don't remember her
being particularly skinny hipped / greyhoundy; she was pretty thin when my friends took her in, anyway. Nice but
a little too manic and dog (or rather bitch ) aggressive for them, she didn't like their smaller, older girl and they had to
rehome her again with someone else.

From my own experience with GSD puppies, all above charts give the upper limit of weight, none of puppies I raised reached above weights, my puppies' weight always was about 15% less than above weights.

What are sources for those three charts, Ibrahim , please ? I agree, the predicted weights are heavier than I would expect, from practice.
