I would like some opinions on this xray, dog was little over 3 when it was taken. Vet wasn't too experienced in the positioning for OFA. Curious if these would be suitable to send off. Thanks!

Positioning isn't the worst I've ever seen submitted; quality of the image isn't great, and I'm not keen on the horizontal line film running from greater trochanter to greater trochanter, but it looks to be suitably diagnostic to me...  I wouldn't expect a rating any better than fair, though, but then again I'm not seeing a crisp image but rather the slight distortion and soft-focus on a laptop screen. Maybe they look better [or worse] on the original film.

If it were my dog and I wanted to get a hip rating, though, I'd have the films re-shot with the dog completely anesthetized and make sure there's sufficient inward rotation of the legs to get the truest picture.

I'd redo them though they should pass as-is. Pretty bad xray in general.

fair due to the fact the right hip is pretty shallow, good lock though...
