The ancestry is predominately show-line when one looks at many of these dogs (Sire's side) who are nowadays present in the pedigrees of what we now call the show-line, and what I for many years called the West German show-line.
Of course this pedigree is from a time when there was not such a division in the lines that we nowadays refer to as show-lines and working-lines, and show-line dogs really had to work hard!

Agree with Bob-O on this. Clearly the dogs on the sires' side are show line, and probably so were most of the dogs on the dams' side, but some appear, by structure, to be less influenced by the division between show and working lines which was beginning some years ago.

Zora von der Albertina's dam Ondra vom Murrtal is line-bred 3-3 on Vello zu den Sieben-Faulen. Vello produced Bernd vom Lierberg, one of the best producer of working dogs.

so it appears to be more working then show?

Ladywolf, that's hard to determine from this pedigree alone at that point in history. This dog lived before the great division occurred that affects the breed today. From a static point of view when this dog lived, one could say that he was a show-line.
Of most interest is what he produced, and how his progeny were mixed with other dogs. Perhaps 50:50?

The top line (sire) is clearly show lines, but lines I like. Quanto Weinerau produced some pretty nice dogs that worked well.
The bottom side is what I call "old show" from back before the great division... when showlines and working lines were the SAME lines.
I wish this were still the case, but we are making progress back in that direction nowadays, after far too long and far to wide a chasm.
