I am looking for a High Calorie Grain Free kibble.   It needs to have a calorie count greater than 3580 per/kg.  Any recommendations?  The key is that it must be grain free.

I would prefer that it not cost $50 or more for a 30 lb bag; but if that is my best bet....   I will probably have to get it shipped to me, as I do not have access to many pet stores.

I am in the US (if that makes a difference).   I need to stay away from any that are made in a Diamond plant, as they have not really resolved their issues.

Feel free to PM me if you choose.

I understand the benefits of a raw diet, so no need to revisit this option.

You should be able to find some grain free, high calorie food here.

What about that one that everyone likes from Costco:  a grain free Salmon of a type;  Natures Domain or ??  Apparently unless it has changed they have a turkey formula and a salmon formula.  Lots of people  have great luck with it.  BOL  Nan

Also check out the Zignature formulas, maybe a little more pricey than Costco but lots of different proteins, mostly grain free's...  N

Natures Domain is fairly low calerie and is made by Diamond. I think fawndallas wanted to stay away from anything Diamond.

I have had great success with NutriSource Grain Free; I pay about $52 per 30 lbs. But I feed way less than other brands; my 65 lb female only gets 21/4 cups a day and she is in top condition. I rotate between the following four formulas and they are all popular with my dogs; it is actually the only food I have ever fed that no one has ever turned their nose up at.

Heartland Select - 3,810 kcals per kg

Seafood Select - 3,826 kcals per kg

Chicken Formula - 4,152 kcals per kg

Lamb Formula - 4,004 kcals per kg

Natures Recipe has a grain free, soy free, preservative free    that I get at , none other than BIG lots...lol

I do not know the price in the dog places..I pick it up when they stock it...Pets mart does have it also

DID Not look at calorie on it..

I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING  DIAMOND MAKES..

ALSO have verified that   Nutro dog foods are not affliated with Diamond at all...

I have a bag of senior , no soy, no grains   and you might check the website.

thanks everyone.   You have given that website to me before Blitzen.  I forgot they included calorie count.  Thanks for the reminder.

These are some good ideas that I will pick through.  Thanks again.

I think I will try the NutriSource.  It has the highest calorie count, gets a 4.5 rating, good protein portions and food content, and the noted feeding portions are good and will help off set the cost.   Not to mention, I can get it on Amazon (my life line living in the sticks).

Thank you again everyone for your help.

IDK where you are but if you can register with Ziegler Distribution located in PA you can get a discount price for the nutrisource for $40/bag and they deliver to surrounding states.
