no Akc papers yet paolo izzy liter 5-2014 - Page 1

hello  has anyone that bought a pup from the 5-2014  paolo von modithor and izzy von nappa weinberg liter got thier akc puppy papers i have been promised by izzy owner last 60 days no papers  but she is co owned maybe thats the problem ,  both parents are akc registered the. breeder seems like a good guy i just dont know why papers are not avalible to him our female pup is now 4 months old and doing fantastic great drive fight fearless and smart not to mention very good looking . just figure id ask  i have never run across this problem before and have purchased 8 shepherds over the last 15 years . I t is really sad that such a well bred dog is not getting her do as we can get her a general number so we may trail her . i thought it was all about bettering the breed

I'm confused...you have your own kennel? But are confused about papers or just these particular papers? And what does the breeder say about them? 

If she's co-owned, there will only be one certificate and the other party will be sent an email copy of it by AKC. If she's co-owned with you and the breeder, he may just have gotten lazy since he's retaining ownership...not sure what the forum would know that the breeder couldn't answer though, so maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking. If so, my apologies. 

Just contact AKC and file a complaint. You can also inquire whether the litter had been submitted for registry

If your puppy was whelped May of this year, then it has not really been that long.. dog is only 4 months old.

I'd give it a bit longer..  maybe they are registering the litter all together with their kennel name..  it takes a bit if you do that.

If both parents are AKC registered, then there likely won't be an issue later on.

Sometimes they need DNA testing done too.. that is required before AKC will register a litter from imports. 

Do you have more details about the parents, like their regsitered names and numbers?? Pedigree?? What did the breeder put in the sales contract about the time frame for paperwork??

THE BREEDER HAS ASSURED ME 6 WEEKS AGO THAT I WOULD HAVE PAPERS BUT I  TEXTED  HIM 2  WEEKS AGO AND TRYED TO CALL HIM TODAY JUST GOT VOICE MAIL . I GUESS WE CAN CK WITH AKC AGAIN monday  BEEN A COUPL;E MONTHS TO SEE IF ANYTHING GOT SUBMITED  . WE HAVE Big  PLANS FOR PUP AND DO PLAN ON A LITER POSSIBLY AT 4 YEARS OLD IF SHE TURNS OUT FOR  WHAT WE BREED FOR  WICH IS MORE FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION  . WE MAINLY BOUGHT HER AS A SPORT DOG AKC AND SCHTZHUND SO WE DO NEED HER PAPERS AND SINCE WE MAY WANT HER TWO HAVE ONE LITTER DONT WANT A  NO BREEDING NUMBER . ANYHOW EVERYONE WE HAVE EVER MET IN THE AKC AND SCHUTHUND WORLD HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD TELL NOW . WE DID GET A RECIPT FROM THE SELLER LADY SINCE THE OWNER OF THE PUP WAS OUT OF TOWN WHEN WE BOUGHT HER. WHAT WAS STRANGE IS THE LADY SELLING THE PUPPY FOR HIM DID NOT WANT TO GIVE US HIS NUMBER BUT WE FOUND HIS KENNELL ON THE INTERNET AND HE DID ADMIT WE BOUGHT ONE OF HIS 2 PUPS LEFT FROM THE LITER AND HE WOULD GET US PAPERS  .IN A COUPLE WEEKS WELL AS YOU CAN SEE BEEN  2 MONTHS AND WAITING. I EVEN OFFERED THE BREEDER  EXTRA CASH IN CASE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM NOT SURE WHAT IT IS UNLESS HE DOSENT  GET ALONG WITH THE CO OWNER OF IZZY   . I HOPE THE PAPERS MAKE IT  DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GET THE AKC  INVOLVED  BUT AM NOT GOING TO FIX HER AT THIS TIME YOU DONT REALLY NOW WHAT YA GOT TELL THIER 3 YEARS OLD ANYWAY   THANKS FOR EVERYONE THAT REPLIED         Brian Lynch
