Hhmmmm, Jim.  Since the FCI is really a european organisation - and then only one for those

countries which wish to belong to it,  why can't Nth America bypass it ?    In the UK we look to

Germany directly for our IPO / Shutzhund activities, I never hear FCI get a mention.  Seems to

me that might resolve at least part of the hassles.

[The UK Kennel Club has never signed up with the FCI;  there is a reciprocal agreement for

Show Judging, but that's about our only involvement.]

Out of Mr Engel´s commentary: " Judging standards, rules and procedures must be uniform across national borders."

It´s easy to ridicule a foreign organization, but there are FCI nations who aren´t allowed to use stick hits ( others will follow for sure ) - that said " Judging standards, rules and procedures must be uniform across national borders." ( your words, not mine ). How do you want to solve this problem??? Do you want these countries not to be part of FCI any longer? Are you serious?

I´m with you about the importance of the stick hits, but why blame and ridicule an organization that has to live with a lot of different laws in a lot of different countries??? Every FCI country is allowed to make there own rules, it´s about International Competition only.

"FCI Play Dog Commission" ??? FCI has to live with facts, not with dreams. Why don´t you start your working dog campaign in the United States, where working dog breeds are bred without any titles instead of tackling a European system you don´t even need to care about?

Why don´t you start at home within AKC, who doesn´t care about working abilities prior to breeding? Why don´t you start your own titling program? Why don´t you start printing your own pedigrees with the requirement of titles, health certs, and on and on...
A lot of people on your side of the pond.... but in reality 99% not only don´t care about stick hits, but don´t care about training working dog breeds at all.

" My bet would be on the current USCA leadership, that they would finally stand up and run American working dog affairs for Americans and by Americans and put an end to forty years of sucking up to European dilettantes, commercial interests and opportunists."

Did you ever count the percentage of HOT dogs within your country? Interestingly even most of the so called top trainers still buy trained dogs from Europe - bred, raised, and trained (titled ) by us European dilettantes with commercial interests, who are opportunists...

This really pisses me off. Enough is enough.
