HM, if you didn't notice, let me point out to you....that exercise was self limiting. Usually when people do stupid shit, it comes back on them in a huge way.
That goes for people doing stupid shit in all countries, the US doesn't have a monopoly on stupid people. However, I will say that it appears Arizona has more than the lion's share of stupid ideots.

Of course the UK has things wrong with it.   No one arguing with you two on that.

Notice I resisted any temptation to say "only in America" !

 

I suspect we might not all agree on what those wrong things ARE - but certainly

not denying they exist.

 

However,  when lots of people are decrying the ruination of kids' childhoods in Africa

and other places because they get drawn - or sometimes kidnapped - into becoming

"child soldiers",  the fact that that this girl's parents and the instructor who got shot were

allowing the situation to happen, were presumably convinced that a nine year old NEEDS

to know how to operate anything the power of a UZI, and then obviously could not carry out

that training correctly by assessing her capabilities to handle it properly, is just plain insane

in anyone's country. 

 

And Joan, how do you mean the exercise was 'self-limiting' ?

 

What we need here is more guns, less restrictions and more deaths. After all we do need population control and this is much better than abortion and birth control combined.

I love the fact that abortion is such an abomination but gun deaths not so much. Goes to show some peoples frame of mind.

 

Then we get the art of deflection and trying to switch things around to what is wrong in other countries, classic.

They broke their own rules allowing a 9 year old to shoot a gun.

"Self limiting"= instructor won't repeat and child will likely not go to a gun range again. Sometimes people are too stupid to thrive. Aside from the fact that a child has no good reason to touch an Uzi, the instructor stood within the danger zone. Hope the parents got their money's worth. That child is probly messed up beyond repair. The whole thing puts me in mind of the warning label on plastic bags....may cause death if put over one's head....really? Maybe the instructors need a warning label on the side of guns...."not a child'stoy, bullets fired from barrel can cause death".
