If we examine why do we have seven day week? But before I extrapolate - I wanted to make an introduction that the God that I worship is able to do it right! He can even able to do in few seconds. The question is God could? Is there any benefit God doing quicker than six - 24 hour days – in other words if that shows his power - why not do in 2 nanoseconds and really show-off. Why would anyone say he couldn’t have done longer? In other words when a painter paints his picture, he can take his time doing whatever he wants, he is the creator. Is there anything better about saying he did it you know over 10 billion years of age, 2 nanoseconds or six – 24 hours of days - is there some spiritual quality that adhere do that? You see folks the only a reason I can see for God taking six days? He could have done it in zero time; he doesn’t need anytime at all – you know and could have made it perfect and right! And God does not need 17 billon years to get the stars just right to support life for this brief time like many theistic-evolutionists believe. My God did it right in six days just like he said. We have a solar reason that we have a year - you know we go around the sun once a year. We have a lunar reason that we have a month - you know it used to be a month was about same time as a lunar cycle. There is nobody knows why we have seven day week. There’s no? You know what historical reason is: why is every culture has a seven day week? Napoleon tried to change to a 10 day week and it was disaster. We are just kind of built with biological clock to work six days and rest one. And it’s normal days; God wasn’t telling Jews to work six million years and rest or work six thousand years and rest. I think the seven day week is established because of the creation and the biological clock is just a normal. God just did it that way so we have it. And I also think God created, it says in Genesis 1, God says let us make man in our image, the very next verse says so God created man, here we have an example created and made means the same thing. The Animals were all created on one literal day, the six day and Adam and Eve were both made on the six day, and it wasn’t a long period of time between Adam and Eve it was the same day. And all we ever observed is dogs produce dogs, nobody ever seen a dog coming from non-dog, they might wanted to believe that the dog and banana have a common ancestor, I don’t care what they believe but that’s not science. And in the original creation animals weren’t wild - but all tame, all friendly animals in original creation. Adam got to pet them all….and took them for a walk. Well this sums up my thread now lol Shtal.

Why do we have a seven day week?
Because six days is too short and eight days is too long...

dang i really feel embarrassed for god, his PR team here on earth would serve him better by just not speaking;
7 days pre-existed the bible for so long and by so many cultures anbody could have come along a thousand years later and wrote it like they invented it, just like chrismass, easter, the ressurection story, creation myths, virgin birth......they all existed before the bible did. wow.
google is yr friend shtal;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven-day_week
now please return the favour and show me where science says a dog can be born from a banana.
oh this;
"And in the original creation animals weren’t wild - but all tame, all friendly animals in original creation. Adam got to pet them all….and took them for a walk. "
please stop, i will not have god mocked this way, even if he is imaginary.

I want to keep mocking you, however. One good mocking deserves another!

what's wrong wit u man, if there was no bible there would be no mans to write the bible and we wouldn't have any days at all. like all those civilisations that lived through Noah's flood, if they had a bible they would have had the flood and all died, alas the world-wide flood where the whole earth was drowned went unnoticed by them.
simple really

I'm embarrassed for you Vk. The Old Testement was written long before Jesus came to earth.
Duh.
Believe or don't believe, affects me not, but don't make constant fools of yourselves by acting like you have all the answers, because it is apparent you DO NOT.
Better to have one think you are a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. No? ;)
