This is a lawsuit and insurance claim in their embryonic forms.

Time will tell if it becomes a real working dog but it looks like a nice puppy.

I agree with Paul, the pup looks to have great potential.

I don't understand the purpose of allowing the pup to aggress on the umbrella or the clipboard but they might have something specifically in mind for future training with this pup.

We prefer our pups to be neutral with the movement of umbrellas and such, but to each his own.

All in all looks like a great pup!

Kim & Paul, I certainly don't disagree that this is a nice pup, and that he shows great potential [precisely what I'd expect from a Sportwaffen pup, based on the breeder's reputation and past performance].

I'd hate to have to walk past him in a rainstorm,  especially when he's full grown, however.  Also wouldn't volunteer to hold the clipboard if this pup shows up on the trial field when he's older, either.

There are dogs for pet homes, then there are dogs for work.  There are dogs for amatures and dogs for advanced handlers.  Nate knows what he is doing if he wants to trial and title the dog he will  with no issues ;).

I agree with Paul and Kim. Certainly the dog has the drive for real work. Whether dog has nerves, ( especially environmental nerves) to cap and utilize these drives, time will tell.

I think the comment about aggressing on the neutral objects is accurate.  I played 'fishing' with my WL pup when he was small, a sock on a string on a pole similiar to what they are doing here.  To this day I cannot take him fishing with me, he goes abosultely ballistic when I cast, barking like a maniac, dives in, swims towards the line (NOT a good idea) and howls and carries on like the world is ending if I leave him home when I go out. (He is 6 years now)  I will say I caught the biggest fish I ever did in the farm pond with this 'method' of fishing but I'm sure it was a coincidence.  Besides that this pup looks great in action.

Nice pup. Lets see him in 2 years.
