Howdy All.
I have the Dogtra 3500NCP E-collar.
I noticed my female cocking her head the other day while she was wearing it, so I took if off and held it for a few minutes.
While I held it, it gave off a vibration every so often (like a pulse), not enough to page or vibrate but enough that I could feel it.
She and my male seem very sensitive to this collar (even when I'm not doing anything with it). I remember reading some where ( I can't find it now) that these collars have been known to give false signals. Of course I read this after I had bought the darn thing (two years ago).
Have any of you (Dogtra users) had this happen?
What did you do?

Hmmm, if I have had it happen, the dog hasn't given any indication of it that I've noticed. Granted, I don't use them often at all- bought them exclusively for when I was on horseback and couldn't issue a correction if needed. Mine are older though; both systems are old. One is the small one, the 202NCP and I think a 2202 or a 2302?? I wonder if it's an issue with the newer ones? Mine are probably 8 years old or so now. In fact, I ought to sell them. Thanks for reminding me, lol.

Regardless of everyone else's experiences, you know that yours isn't working right.
Send them in or replace them, otherwise who knows what you are/aren't teaching your dog.

Thanks for the heads up as mine is not working correctly either although not the same problems; it is a piece of s_ _ _ . I will give it that it is also an older one. I am going with TriTronics next time the Pro 100 series or depending on their functions maybe a pro500 series. TriTronics give a more accurate correction and yes you do pay a little more but my first TriTronics I bought in 1994 or thereabouts; send it in once for refurbishing is worn out now but figure it is 20 years old and my Rotti boy wore it continuously for 10 years as he was very dog aggressive; took it off at night but back on the next AM. So it got well used. Still have it but don't think it works at this time. Maybe if I charged it. Waaaaaaaaaay better collars though for the money. Just info for you. Nan

Can beat the Collar Clinic for Tritronics collars. They sell new and used and repair them. Any problems with a repair and they warranty the repair. Great place and people to deal with.
