Hi guys, just a post in regards to some of your thoughts on this pairing im looking to get a pup from. Im a bit of a pedigree enthusiast and so have done extensive research not just into this pedigree but thousands (no exaggeration) of other individuals.
I would just be interested to know other peoples views on the ped:

within UK.

I don't actually work a dog, but if I was going to, and looking for a suitable working
lines puppy [in the UK] then this pup's pedigree means I would have seriously
considered him/her. Vogalanberg Kai can do no wrong as far as I am concerned (!)
and I would love to set eyes on this daughter. Also glad to see the Tierkehook
and Lakatamia blood in there. JMO, for what little it is worth.

First thing that comes to mind is no ratings of hips on the parents? Or are they just not listed?

Always a plus to me to see the Gleisdrieck lines in a pedigree, too! Lord was one of the greats, and also lived past 14 years of age.

This is an outcross, I doubt lord will have any influence and I don't see him in the first few gens.
I'm no expert, but considering I went through a lot of research prior to buying and pedigree talk with very knowledgeable people in the dog world, my advice is if you're going to spend the money 1200-1500, I would make sure you get the OFA certs on the parents. I would ask the breeder (since you trust to buy from them) about the parents. Ask about progeny. I've always been told that the first few gens have influence. I don't know the dogs in the pedigree there. I wouldn't pay more than 1200 from untitled parents. Some will say titles don't mean anything.. Sorry I didn't answer the original question :)

While it is true that if the sire & dam have had their hips done, the results are not recorded
on this pedigree page, I'd take comfort from the fact that 3 out of 4 Grandparents' results ARE
shown - and as I think Templars is saying, the most recent few dogs in any pedigree are going
to be influential in such matters.
We haven't always been able to get eg SV-originated Titles put on our KC paperwork, so I would also
check other sources of information for details of what these dogs have achieved, that might not have
found their way onto the PDB yet.

I must be missing something...I see quite a bit of 'missing info' in a few generations.
