Hares are very shy and secretive, and can hide out in the most un-promising places. But if there is no avoiding a chase, they are no laggards.

The hare races as fast as it can, but it also jinx and dodges about. It can change direction quicker than the larger greyhound.

I remember my Australian Cattle Dog teaching my young GSD's that they can't catch her...She'd just turn...and off she went...
It was funny watching my young GSD's chasing the ACD...As their power began to mature...they thought they could catch the ACD...but she had a number of tricks up her sleeve...tee hee hee...
