While I see some great producers in each ped, neither seem to have focus on what direction they end up,I personally would start freash from scratch, though Fado is not a bad dog to be linebred on and I agree with Qman even the best of peds. is only part of the puzzle, looking at each parent temperament is next part of the puzzle, and examining the pups themselves checking potential temperament very closely going through many tests and with the help of a pro. looking with you, pups can be a major crapshoot but you want all the odds in your favor as much as posssible. Your odds can also be increased from buying directly out proven producers verses unproven immediate producers. In other words how well did the other litters turn out ?, many times looking at an exact repeat breeding can be very helpful and a great predictor.

This will be a first breeding for each female to this particular stud. I have researched past pups. And for the most part are either in the sport, doing really well in PSA, protection dogs and a couple of K9's. They both go back 5-5 to the same dog. But I love the 2nd bitch the best! She is very intense and serious. I love a tough female! So yeah. Thanks for the advice! I am guessing they are mostly Czech lines. My customer can't wait either..

This breeding is something that would probably produce some 'nasty" but then you could be potentially dealing with that (one person dog). The reason a lot of West German dogs are being mixed into the lines is to improve on full grips and friendlier social personality. The oldtimer dogs are not necessarily the ones you can take o a shcool for a PD demo.

FYI..not my breeding. The female is already spoken for after the whelp and the male is not leaving Slovakia..

I don't mind the whole one owner dog thing. For my situation it works well! Lol. I socialize as best as I can. My partner is hot and always on guard. I did the whole DARE thing. He only goes to work to catch crackheads.. so nasty is ok!
So are all of my potential pups majority Czech? Or is there some East in there! too ?

" recognizing at least some of the dogs is comforting.. but then again.. the mixing of East, Czech and of course West.. not sure if I am getting the correct type of cross!"
of course your not sure, who would be, sounds like a bandogge recipe / salad mix err possibly nice pups or not or something in between?
is there such thing as breeding programs in the gsd world or just breedings?

Swingfield,
Good dog is a good dog.....but my heart belongs to Czech or Slovak dogs or combo of them. I don't mind a mix of bloodlines as long as the dog has a heart besides drives. The pedigree above is something I would consider a puppy from. People who met me, witnessed me handle dogs, know I like the bitches and the assholes... it is obvious.
My next dog will be an import from Slovakia and most likely wont have much of wester bloodlines mixed in. I won't probably even pick the one with the most prey drive. They work for me the best! As long as the dog has a heart for work alongside the drives, I am golden!

I suggest you contact Carlos Huerta of von Huerta Hof German Shepherds and not waste your time chasing dead end deals. He will be able to help you.
