12 month old male, sedated

The required info was not put on the plate for A stamp and the elbows weren't flexed. Vet will be redoing so any thoughts on positioning itself that I can pass on? And what do you think of the hips themselves?

Thank you!

I think the positioning could be more symetrical and the knees need to be rotated inwardly. The hips look normal to me.

Thanks :)

My thoughts were rotate inward more, hips look good.

If I sent these to the sv, would they grade them? He goes back tomorrow morning for retakes, so just curious.

You don't need all the required info on the plate. The vet can write a letter stating what the missing info was and why it is missing. ... but if you want an excuse to get them reedone, by all means : )

Yes, I wanted them done the right way lol Elbows had to be retaken anyways, so why not hips too. I talked to the radiologist this morning.. she seemed rather irritated that she was redoing them. Oh well, if they had read what was sent with him, we wouldn't have a problem. Fingers crossed they're done right this time. Seems like if you catch her on a bad day xrays look like crap

By no means am I a pro. I am still learning to read xrays but the second shot on your last post right femural head looks a tad malformed. I say the first shots are better even though positioning is a tad off. That's just my opinion which isn't professional.

@realdoggsd - It is not necessarily so. If the knee caps would be in the center akin to bull's eye, like on this picture they are:

then this " malformation" may (or may not) disappear. This is the reason why it so important to have positioning just right. If the hips are positioned same incorrect way as we see on OP x rays( kneecaps outward) then we will see indentation which is called  fovea or fovea capitis ( latin for-pit in the head):

that is a place where the ligaments are attached:

Thus insist on perfect positioning or do not pay for the x rays.

Here is an article with pictures  I have written on this topic:
