Hi I am considering switching dog foods, Would appreciate any input on whats good and whats not. Considering Canidae? Someone said it was very good and I have never heard of it.

Eaglepack. Search the message board for previous posts on it.

I have never heard of Canidae, until someone purchased a pup from us and their trainer recommended it. I have tried a lot of dog foods because my dog's could not hold it in. Anyway, I tried Canidae and my dog's have taken to it, and they have been on it ever since. TJMO

I also can, and would recommend Eaglepack. This question comes up perodically, so I went back and looked up some of the previous posts. My dog is really doing well on it. The poops are small, and he is utilizing the food. Beautiful coat too! DH, I have my male on the Chicken. If I wanted to switch to Lamb and Rice, to give him variety, could I do so without a stomach upset, since it is an Eaglepack food, or with any food, do it gradually?

Innova EVO or Timberwolf. I also believe in changing out foods every couple of months to ensure all nutritional needs are being filled. There is no one single "perfect food" that has it all. I use Innova EVO RM (Red Meat) , Innova EVO RF (Chicken and Turkey Protien), Timberwolf Southwestern Chicken and Herb. I will probably try and find one more high quality food to change them out to as well. Timberwolf, if you go to the website, they have free shipping, which is a lot cheaper to order from them than to buy at the store.

I think for my 4th food I may try California Natural of some sort... maybe.

I also feed and sell Canidae dry as well as canned. I have found it to be an excellent food and my dogs all do very well on. Canidae also has a breeders program where you buy so many bags and get one free. I, however, do find that my kiddo's seem to think it is not as palitable as some of the other foods that I have fed in the past. I solve that problem though and make a "gravy" from the canned food by adding warm water and mixing it with the dry food. Vickie

I feed 1 1/2 cup to 2 cups of Eukanuba Premium Performance(pre-soaked in HOT water to reduce risk of bloat)with 1 full scoop of 100% whey protein powder, and 3/4 pound of raw ground beef, once daily. This is the diet that I have been feeding to my workingline GSD's for the past 5 years with pheonominal results.I demand alot from my GSD's because they are competition dogs. They run up & down mountains alongside an ATV and swim almost daily. I'm a firm believer that the muscular system supports the skeletal system. To avoid spinal injuries and other injuries common to competition GSD's, I build them up to a muscular optimum. If anyone is interested, I do board and condition/train dogs on a very limited basis.
