Mindhunt

by Mindhunt on 22 June 2014 - 17:06

As many of you know, I am in a clinical psychology doctoral program. One of the main complaints is, what are my clients doing wrong when it comes to finding soul mates.  I have clients 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 50-59, and 60-69.  I would appreciate any input.  Most of my clients love dogs although due to present circumstances are not able to keep a dog (homelessness, renting, etc).  Some have kept dogs despite homelessness. I am looking for input across all income levels.  Thank you in advance to those of you who take the time to answer.  I am asking for generalities, not specifics because I don't want to pin point any one person..

Look into your dogs eyes that truly love's you.

If you do not see the same thing in your future  soul mates eyes,

WALK AWAY.

Have a nice day everyone here.

Are you actually talking mates or are you talking dogs?  Gouda's post confused me, but when I went back and read yours, I'm even more confused!  Are you pairing dogs with people or people with dogs with other people?

Right from the beginning, I noticed my wife was the type that was always going forward. I really like that in a woman.

I would love to solve the homeless problem, the do I pay rent or buy groceries or get my child's medication question too.  Nope just curious what attracted you (a human) to your soulmate (another human for those of you confused lol).  See if it jives with APA research (real life vs research life lol).

He had to pass my "personal" unspoken, tests.

  • He had to be able to physically carry me over any and all thresholds.
  • He had to know how to build a fire.
  • And sail a boat. (Or, later on, I settled with a willingness for learn! lol)

And then there are these:

  • Ambition/cash in the wallet/gainfully employed!
  • The love he showed his own mother/family
  • Feeling special and acknowledged by him
  • Suave ordering of multi-course meals at ethnic restaurants Oriental food and fine dining skills, a huge plus. Silverware
    • I once met a guy; on a date, we shared a meal. He proceeded to mix his food all together—mashed potatoes, corn, peas, meat or whatever into this unified, heaping mess, first. I knew it was a deal breaker, right then and there.
