The judges have been selected for the 2015 USCA sieger Show. It appears USCA has made some major changes and is implementing some new concepts into the show side of the organization while adhering to their core values. If nothing else it's an awareness and commitment to their core policies.

Big news is the rotation schedule. According to their E Ballot, USCA has selected 8 SV judges that adhear to their guidelines below which they plan to select from over the next years.

The judges for next years show are Scheld and Van Dorssen. Both SV judges that have judges numerous events here in the US over the years. Here's the link to the e-Ballot announcement:

Here is the information from the E-Ballot I found interesting about the selection:

Background: Members of the BAC proposed eight (8) Judges to be considered for judging at the USCA Sieger Show(s).  The committee did determined that we [USCA] would utilize only conformation judges who are Koermeisters/Breed Survey Masters, and we will not use a judge that are strictly for conformation.  The committee unanimously agreed upon this fact, that to improve the USCA GSD, it is important to utilize only judges who are working dogs. Those judges will be utilized in the following years within a rotation schedule.  The BAC encourages our USCA Judges to apprentice under, and to work with these judges. The objective is to provide a standardized knowledge/education, and to address the interests of the USCA membership. USCA Conformation Judges/Breed Survey Masters will also be maintained within the rotation(s).

I'm impressed.  I think that's a great idea.

I guess they were not happy with the UScA judge who was over the females last year?
Too much kayos, too much indecision, what could it be?

It could be they want to use SV judges that are associated with the working aspects of the breed. Pretty much what the E Ballot states.

From what I understand, the plan was approved prior to the sieger show. Check the dates of the E Ballot, 4/22/14 and the sieger show 5/16-18/14. This plan was discussed and in place well before the sieger show.

Scheld was my first choice for our regional show, but he was already booked... I like a judge that's colorblind.

The list hasn't been released yet. I'm not sure how they came up with the list. I sent a few suggestions for USCA to consider.

We need to start bringing in judges that we have not used a 100 times. This gives everyone's dogs a fair chance !

Both judges are well known to like sables AND dogs with working abilities.
That said it´s no bad idea to train and show a good looking workingline......

Yes, and the last time they judged a sieger show was in 05 and 09.
