Would love to see this bitch moving;  beautiful length of neck with layback to match thought she was a male at first but a doggy girl; looks like a nice head and expression but cannot tell from this angle;  however head looks pretty;  don't know age but seems somewhat mature with her body and type;  cannot give a good eval on her feet or pasterns;  if I had to fault this bitch I would like to see a little more angulation in the rear but cannot tell if that is just her being black or the pic.  Just a tich more bend in stifle.  Overall a lovely picture to look at;  catches my eye definitely.  BOL  Nan

Gah what an ugly dog, get a new one! Hahaha, just kidding. Overall a bit masculine for a female, but personally I like it. How old is she here? I think that she's a beautiful female, would also like to see her movement. Good luck with her.

I did not read what Nans said above so my critique wouldn't be affected by hers, I will read it later.

Solid black female of very good type, very good proportions, well balanced, good head and neck, very beautiful topline, normal withers, good length of a strong back, very good loin, good croup length and position, good tail and tailset, good front angulation, front upper arm could use more length and more angulation, but shoulder blade lay back is very good, most of the pasterns are hidden in grass but from what could still be seen they look soft. Very good underline, good hind angulation though she could use a bit more of it, strong well let down hocks. All over and looking at her as one piece, she is indeed a very beautiful female.

For clarity: Her croup is only good, both the length and position, I wouldn't call it short, slightly short, steep or slightly steep, in relation to her back, I consider it good.

Gorgeous! Very nice structure, in my uneducated opinion. I'd love to see a head-shot of her, to see her expression.

by Nans gsd on 18 June 2014 - 01:06

Thank you Ibrahim;  really I take it very personally and take it to a personal level:  would I own this dog.  And Yes I would but of course pending her temperament. and of course her movement... A lovely girl.

For Dawulf:  Just so you know you can change a head in one breeding;  so if you do not like the head (not just this bitch but a head on any dog) keep in mind that CAN change in  a single breeding;  just find a beautiful head and use that dog.  That simple.  Head/expression are no where;  but I also like to see a pleasing head/expression/earset.  JMO.  Nan

PS:  And to add to the above Ibrahim;  personally I am not a fan of blacks... BUT try not to be color blinded as they all throw differently depending on what is bred to what...again JMO.

I do not have a really good movement picture of her. Hope to get one soon. But I have to say she is all working lines.
