Make a go at it---here.

....God, how I miss Carlin for that.

You just want someone to agree with you Bee, like Carlin did, or the other way around, regardless, discussins don't happen on here as most  get nasty when someone disagrees with them.

Most things we discuss are either black or white,  you either believe it or you don't.  Not much room for 'discussion', just arguments, and they are futile and a waste of good energy.

Have a good one!

Carlin and I disagree on quite a few fundamentals. And the conversations always stayed on the plane of intelligence and respect. I never expect you or anyone to have to agree with me. The differences are what make a discussion. I think doing so without an attack on character becomes the more challenging aspect.

Thanks for your reply, in any case. I found it intelligent and thoughtful, too. Have a great day. Hope it is as lovely as mine.

I was just out looking at a Ford Expedition, loaded, immaculate, should I buy it?

I really don't need another vehicle, but...

I'm taking the wife for a ride later, I'll show it to her. Not that she tells me what to buy, but I'll let her see it...

The place is closed today so I haven't test driven it.

Lol.....@.....not that she tells me what to buy, but I'll let her see it.

If you don't really need another vehicle what made you stop to look at this one?

ML. Unless something basic has changed in the Expedition, my experience is that they are high maintenance after about 40 k miles.  It also seems that the inside starts to show wear pretty quick.

Unless you are set against it, the Toyota Sequoia is comparable and much higher quality.  The down side is that much of its parts still come from Japan and you pay a premium .   Luckily, maintenance is low, even after 120 k miles.   I know I druel every time is see one.  Love the ride too.

To elaborate a little further here. The wife doesn't get involved with my vehicle selection, but I'd like her to see it and I'd like her opinion on it.

If I buy this one I'll get rid of one of my other vehicles.

As far as maintenance etc. I'm already involved in the automobile business (have a dealer plate and a used car license) not that buying and selling cars is our main thing, we dabble in it once and a while.

I have several friends that do strictly Auto repair and I get all parts at about 30% off or more, so doing some maintenace is not a major concern.

This vehicle is used but Immaculate, the inside and outside look brand new.

I'm more concerned about how it drives, so I'll probably drive it tommorow...

Sounds like the wife will enjoy this. I of course, owning a large automotive business, like ML, have experience in any of the decisions of repair , buying and selling an auto.

It is personal choice..whether you take the F ound On Road Dead, or a Gonna MakeCrazy, or a foreign make of design.

I chose a lesser engine this time with my Husband agreeing, 4 cyl use to be a lawnmower, but in todays design we find that all the makers are offering shorter, more streamlined and more economical cars for our choice. I do not want something I cannot lay back in, have good room but not a huge truck as before..We need to have money left over after 15 state jaunt where the gas gussler ate our breaksfast , lunch and dinner...so we did the necessary...bought a new one...I have bought many low mileage second cars with less than 10 th miles...but having a husband who knew the business as ML does...no problem...

I will not purchase any vehicle not made in America or at least most of it..I know how GMC does and I know where FORD makes parts also...but most men know how to maintenance those makers...DODGE is still a mans work horse or a dream Charger with a 440 magnum under the hood with sports models in all our manufacturers..

Let us see how this discussion begs on....Buzz bee buzz.. GOOD thread..i NOTICED at the red light yesterday  8 suv type new cars by FORD< GMC>NISSAN>JEEP> KIA>TOYOTA>and FORD> We all looked alike almost except our colors...

What engine ML DOES this vehicle have under the hood?

Well I took the wife to see the Expedition. It was unlocked so she was even inside it...

She said "I love it, Buy it."

YR all Expeditions have V8s.

They are not great on gas. LOL

PS, Bee I hope you don't mind discussing cars on here, I figurerd people wouldn't argue...
