When looking at pedigrees I keep seeing the word: Ausland where the hip rating should be, what does this mean...???I know hips are usually rated "normal, fast normal or NZ" any other info you can give me would be appreciated...

The hips were done out of country.

Then how do I know what the hips are rated if they even were...???When looking at pedigrees when Iencounter a rating of Ausland what should I do...???

You don't know exactly as it covers all three passing grades. The a6 (a-Ausland) lumps them together. So when you see that in a pedigree, treat it as a passing grade.

SO then I shouldn't be concerned about some dog in the pedigree that has Ausland (a6) next to it...???Hips being as important as they are when you are looking for a pup makes me nervous to see an a6 next to whaere I'd like to see an a1...Or normal...
Thanks for the info just learned something else on my trip towards getting that "almost perfect pup"...
