YAY!!!
Congratulations Melissa on both the DM results and the progress of your boy. Four days is very fast to get a solid indication from a dog. Who was the seminar instructor?

Friend of mine called me last week in a panic. Dog she pulled from the shelter to replace her hrd dog bit a kid, wasn't goint to work and she had already paid. I volunteered Drako. So I honestly have no idea who the instructor was. They did building searches, open area searches, hit by train and scent boxes. The were in one of the tornados on the nc coast and still worked. I have training aids that I will continue his work, but he is giving a very solid indication at source. He started the indication on his own. This dog LOVES this job! He's what, 9 months old now? Not too shabby :)

He sounds like a wonderful boy.
Are you going to keep him?
Or is he one of your youngsters that have an LE future?

I think I'm going to keep this guy :) He could easily do le work, but I'm going to continue his training and certify, probaby do some ipo also. I didn't keep any back for le. It was asmall litter and the others are working. One training SAR, 2 ipo, then Drako. The 5th is kind of a pet, but the kids and I are going to do his bh, ad and show rating. Not a bad litter :)
