I am so honored and proud of my 9 month old puppy!
Here is the email I recived from his owner:
Hi Debby
I don't know if you heard on the news about the Killer Tornato went thrue Florida, 4 counties, well one of the countie was Volusia New Smyrna Beach where I live was hit bad but past me by with little damage.
I,m a Valusia county Animal control volunteer and a member of the search and rescue team, I was called in and ask to bring Myah my cerified search and rescue dog, I decidet to also take Neron with me, as I got there I was really stund how bad it looked once we got to work Neron was the 1st who found a little girl traped under rubbish and he would not move until she was rescued I'm so proud of my boy not even quiet 9 month old and he saved a life.
After hrs searching there we was called to the other counties where Myah and him located 7 people who where killed in this disaster.
Debby I really want to thank you for Neron he is a wonderfull dog.

JUST HAD TO SHARE IN HOPES THAT YOU ALL WOULD REJOICE WITH ME! This puppy has had no formal training in SAR, only Schutzhund. (His owner is German and has a little trouble spelling english.)

See what happens when a GSD has excellent genetically based temperament and raised in a healthy environment. Congratulations.

Debby--
I guess cleaning up all that puppy poop actually has some rewards afterall...(observed the photos in *Latest Pictures* section). Congratulations on breeding such a worthwhile youngster.

Thanks Blitzen.
It is more warmth of heart than pride. To me this is what this breed is all about and it is this kind of temperament that we all strive to breed for. To see this kind of evidence that I am doing ok, just warms my heart. I feel much happiness for the family of the little girl, that it brings me to tears. That is why I love this breed so much and to see some of this being lost in the breed makes me upset. I would like to think that given the chance MANY GSD's would do the same thing.
