Grrr! Took me forever to get to his page, as my computer is loading very slowly this morning.
Here's some additional info for those of you who don't want to have to scroll through the pages one by one:
They estimate he's 4-5 years old. Rescues and individuals can put a hold on animals prior to their euthanasia dates:
Any Rescue Group or individual interested in claiming or adopting animals in this designation should contact Animal Control prior to the animal's adopt/rescue/euthanasia date. |
Individuals and rescue groups may now place a euthanasia hold on an animal
And that's pretty much all the info available on him. No details on temperament or size.

Per Google map it is 327 miles from me 5+ hrs.
Aside from that i can't at this time, i have some work being done to the house and it is hard to keep dogs from killing contractors and I cant take any additional time off...just bad timing...i thought about it, but w/o me being there i can't bring in mature male dog and leave him with my worked up rascals and freaked out contractors, i have only two 10 x 10 and one of them was destroyed, chain link fence pulled apart by previous rescue who did not like being confined...who by the way is doing great in her new home, just got update this morning...
so...i forwarded link and info to few of my contacts but they are all located south of me....
on a separate note....I have someone who is looking for a female 1-2 years old...they prefer to rescue and not to purchase, i would just pass on info...w/o being involved...

kitkat if you will take him I will pay to have him shipped to you. But that means someone in that area has to get off their butt, go to the shelter, and get the dog out of there and onto a plane. NOW. Or he'll be real dead real quick.
Instead of thinking about reasons good things can't happen for this dog, folks need to think about ways to make them happen.
Website says he's shy but adoptable. If he had aggression issues or other obvious issues he'd be dead already or rescue only. He looks like a sweet boy. Handsome guy too. Might just be the photo angle but he looks DDR. Nice blocky head, short muzzle, great pigment.

Good lord! That dog looks like own sable Sam after he has gotten wet. Really hate to see dogs that look like my own in sad shape or on death row like this. I really hope someone takes him in. I just took in a new dog and at 4 dogs I'm at my limit as the funds are tight otherwise I'd love to have him.

I will def take him if he can get here

I myself will not keep him, I will find him a home, where he will be loved. And I will back him up for the rest of his life (or mine), if needed.
A German Shepherd should not have to be left for death, thru no fault of his own
