This just proves that people with old money are tight and only concerned with themselves (for the most part).

Screw the unemployed, elderly, sick children, mentally ill, disabled, poor, working poor, hungry kids and every down on their luck person in the USA.

I challenge you ML to live off of welfare or food stamps for a couple of months. Take that money and try and survive.

 

Lets put this into perspective - GWB takes over for Clinton with a budget surplus and proceeds to spend like no tomorrow, starts wars with countries who made daddy look like a ding dong who by the way ran the country into the ground himself. But this wasn't enough for good old George - he then proceeds to push this country to the brink of depression and did in fact guide the country into the greatest recession of all time. Obama comes along and must spend a boat load of money just to prop up Georges screw ups. And somehow it is Obamas fault in your eyes.

 

Now you and your tea party pals want to cut every little bit of help these people receive. You want to default on our obligations and throw this country into chaos. When you take away food stamps how do you think these people will eat?

We are sick and tired of trickle down economies that do not work. We are tired of having to work 2 and 3 jobs just to eat. We are tired of having to work for peanuts while our hard work gets the top guy a new mansion, sports car and the latest trophy wife. Start paying a living wage and quit moving jobs overseas to get cheap labor to line more fat cats pockets.

And don't even whine to me about hand outs because without them what do you think these people would do? I will gladly pay my fair share to help all the people listed in your cute little article because not helping them would be a tragedy beyond proportions.

You want to fix it then cut the military and the outrageous benefits and wages of congressman who obstruct the countries business. Fine example unemployment benefits for the long term unemployed, republicans have over the years had no problem reupping EUB when they were in the WS but now all of a sudden they can't get it passed. Hypocrites.

 

Crime is nature's way of re-distributing wealth. honest man can't find a way to feed his family ain gonna stay honest too long.

I don't care whose fault it is, but I do know you can't get blood from stone, and redistribution of wealth is essentially theft.  Ignoring the problem isn't going to work either, as evidenced by the U-5 or U-6 unemployment indexes.  Everyone wants to have their cake... You can't take all of your jobs overseas so that you can pay some rice farmer's child $10/day, and then cry when someone wants to raise taxes to pay the unemployment benefits of the people you put out work. Likewise, you can't continue to forward globalist BS thinking every human on the planet can live like the average American, or try to extend benefits to illegals while relaxing border security when we can't support those our own citizens.  Not happening. Something's got to give.

Wait, the rich are having their cake and eating it too so why can't the rest of us to a lesser degree? We the working folks have made the rich richer so it is time to share the wealth and not be so greedy. Look at the distribution of wealth and you will clearly see things aren't working in this country. We bust our butts day in and day out while the CFOs and CEOs get new trophy wives and ever bigger big screen TVs. The top is well top heavy and it is time we cut that weight down some.

Immigrants aren't the problem - never have been and never will be this country was built by illegals as you call them. Part of my family immigrated here from another country so without America being America we would have never been given this chance to be free.
