story line sucked
acting sucked
special effects sucked
Iam fmiliar with director and love his other work like: Black Swan, Fountain - great movies, dark, twisted, he travels deep into human emotions and he is great at it.
However i think this was way over his head...he is good at mental twists and human relaying emotions in dark places....he took this movie where it should not have gone...way too big for him, should have let someone else do it...

Whoa Nellie! That bad? That was a scathing review!
I loved Black Swan, too. Good to see you LF.

it was that bad....i don’t even mind that he changed the story, i don’t mind that he brought in dark side of humans, but it was so shallow, it was like a badly filmed horror movie, he got a great group of actors but their acting clashed they did not have chemistry it was awkward to watch.... while we were in line to get tickets we were talking about show time and people in front of us heard us and told us, bad movie, don’t waste your $, i thought well hell, it was probably too complicated for them, than a woman by the door when we were entering said "horrible movie, they made Noah evil! not worth your time", we still went in...theater was full...at the end everyone was quet and disappointed...so..yeah...i should have gone to see 300...this was THAT BAD!

You know, I had no interest in seeing the film - but now you say
it makes Noah look evil, I think I might give it a go, when it opens
here. Heh heh heh.

Hundmutter,
I don't know if it will be worth your money, even for that chuckle! I will wait for it to hit the cable rounds. Won't take long, I think! Read this excerpt from another reviewer, too funny, I say! Like she was fly on the wall of the OT here, or something? LOL I have emboldened some things I found hilarious in their sychronicity to ourselves! heh heh heh, is correct!
Aronofsky only half-delivers the goods because it seems a lot of money went toward creating Watchers - characters made of stone and stardust that protect Noah from the marauding hordes.
Here Aronofsky brings a little Judaic Shul to the mix by interpreting the Nephilim, or angels, in the form of Golem - mud monsters. These cartoonish creatures are by far the most insane part of this crazy ride - and not just because the central rock man is voiced by Nick Nolte - but they fit the Dungeons and Dragons landscape, which in turn peels the Noah story away from sacred scripture and reinvents it as a grim fairy tale.
