Long live tesla. answersingenesis will now find a way to predict this happening in the bible now its already. happened .

will read link in the morning. night.

The link goes directly to the CNN page and video, which is only a couple of minutes long and well worth the watch!

Wireless electricity? Hey, we already HAVE that...it's called lightning!  Teeth Smile

Oh, you mean MAN-MADE...

This is an interesting subject Travels. Gordon Michael Scallion mentioned about 4 years ago that the Government had the ability already to run totally wireless houses. Run everything including microwaves.

Hope you feel better, soon.

Pretty cool, huh ML?  I know I'm looking forward to it!  Now, what to do with all of the holes in our walls, LOL.

I'm actually feeling much better today, I dragged myself to the store yesterday and got some Vick's salve and cough drops though I don't really have a cough, but my mouth is dry from only being able to breath through it, because my nostrils aren't working, LOL.  I slept well and deep :)
This started on Thursday with a couple of sneezes.  Friday, the sneezes got more frequent and by the time I got home from work, my head was plugged up pretty good.  Yesterday, I felt like a cement truck dumped a load in my head and today, I'm able to breath.  I'm not going to celebrate quite yet though, until I'm sure it won't morph slowing into my ears, sinuses or chest.  I've got my fingers crossed.

Will do some math on it. not much detail in link. the induction field drops off fast with distance. i am assuming the large currents needed will be supplied by wire to your house.

seems low effiency but devices now are also more efficient.

i remember. americans going nuts about perceived risks of drinkig milk from dairy cows under transmission poles now they are going to reproduce that in their homes, funny the lure of convenience to not plug in a chord.

tesla was squashed cos they could not figure how to meter wireless. power. which makes me think this is local in house distribution.

my guess is you will have to buy new devices to exploit this = more expenditure.

Yes on all counts, to your suppositions.  Yes, it will be localized in each home, with a transmitter.  No need for outlets, it will travel through walls.  It's the same science that powers cell phones.  More expenditure depends on how much of a mark-up a simple device can accrue.  I'm sure it will decrease in cost once it's more widespread.  That's after it goes to market, could be years ahead.  But still, it's pretty cool!

by vk4gsd on 23 March 2014 - 21:03

No yr confusing. the tiny power a cell phone gets in the non induction field to transmit and receive info with the dc power to amplify it provided by a battery unless you are talking about the wall transfirmer to charge the battery which is currently cabled.

what concerns me is the low frequency em noise pollution that will infect every device and the extra engineering to suppress it. sounds like a nightmare to me as an audiophile and communication enthusiast.

you should do a calculation on the induction field to run say a high speed drill at 2metres from the source. the induction heat in the coil is itself a fire risk.

of course you could exclude all high power devices and run them thru a lead so you still need outlets.

by vk4gsd on 23 March 2014 - 21:03

Travels not sure yr physics knowledge but the induction field and the propagating field are not the same physics. the induction field is limited to low frequecies and short distances before it goes to almost nothing without massive currents and copper coils.

the weight if the coils is going ti require copper much and will be heavy.

buy shares in copper mines if induction takes off - oh too funny induction takes off, crack myself up. sorry nerd joke.
