Anyone have any experience with this food? I,m looking to switch to it possibly.

I've used it in budget situations along with raw and had no issues. I know several large breeders who feed it longterm and their dogs look great. I have spoken with their nutritionist and he's really on the ball. Good company. Not a fan of grainy foods, but Fromm is a good company.

Correction- I haven't used the LB one- I have used LBP but for adults, I used regular, black bag.

I have used the regular adult (black bag) in my kibble rotation.  Little bit higher protein and fat than the large breed.  I have had no issues with it.

I have used for Fromm for a long time with multiple breeds, my dogs look great and LOVE it, it is a very high end kibble, I rotate the formulas for variety, my dogs LOVE the Gamebird Formula, the canned meat is also very good. I LOVE this line of food.

My two objections after reading their formulas is this:  flaxseed in all formulas and seems except for a few all have many different proteins added in each formula;  chicken/duck/turkey/chicken meal and maybe some fish meal also.  That is a lot of protein for one dog food.  Several have pork/beef/lamb..  If you do have a problem except for process of elimination how would you figure out which protein wasn't working for your dog?   Nan

I use the Four Star line, my terrier mix does wonderful on it. She no longer itches, perfect poops, and a very nice shiny coat. I know on the four star, a dog will gain weight easily if you don't tweak portions properly. She gets a half a cup with wet mixed in. So about a cup per day since she is only 25lbs.

I don't know anything about the Gold line by Fromm though. I know with the Four Star you are able to make switches between flavors much easier though. The only thing about her is we tried various grain-free with her and her poops were solid looking, but not firm enough. Her poops were always a mess when picking up after her. I gave Fromm a try, at first I didn't think her poops were getting better, but after getting rid of the wet for a while her poops did firm up more. We slowly introduced wet back in because she was loosing too much weight. She looks perfect now.

Goodmorning Bob

I feed my whole Kennel Fromm Adult Gold, this includes all my puppies for about a year and a half now.
I buy it for the Kennel rate here in Canada, which is $52,00 a bag ,every 11th bag is free.
The regular price is $65.00 for a 33 lb. bag. The food here in Canada is gone of the scale.
I see some top end foods closing in on $100.00 fot a 30 lb. bag.My dogs do like the food,
and doing very well on it.  I dont think fromm has ever had a recall on any of their kibble..
Have a nice day sir.

You are right gouda, Fromm has never had a recall, they are fifth generation of being family owned and operated,
they introduced the first canine distemper vaccine, read their history it's very interesting.

I feed Fromm the purple bag, all my dogs love it and are doing great, and I love the fact that they have never been recalled,
the reason they recall dogfood is mostly because the humans who are handling the dogfood can get sick from it.

Here is a link to the food I am feeding, I also feed raw twice a week:

Go for it Bob!  Thumbs UpWink SmileClever
