I would like to hear what others think or do when it comes to Prices of Puppies & Dogs according to AGE...
Everyone has their Prices for their Puppies...But what is your Price Structure when your puppies are over 8 weeks of age...Do you raise your prices when the puppies turn 6 months old or at what age do you raise the prices...?
At what increments do you change your asking prices...8 Weeks...6 Months...1 Year...? I think we'll all agree that there are a lot of things that the prices depend on...Such as when the puppy/dog matures and we can see more of what they have to offer...What their Structure is...What kind of Drives does the dog possess...Temperament...???

If the animal is bred quality I would say the older the more costly. But if pet quality I do not see the difference between them and a rescue. But that is not how it is.

6 - 7 months old,
pre- xrayed,
correct teeth,
firm ears,
both testicles ( only the males
)
normal size
= up to double puppy price
Additionally very good temperament and / or very good conformation
= open end
On the other hand - a youngster missing anything of the above
= puppy price or less

I would expect to pay more as things are done/confirmed like testicles, teeth, hip/elbow prelims. I helped raise/train a puppy and we sold it several weeks later for more than the 8 wee price because by then he was crate trained, house trained, very well traveled (gone to tournaments with me in multiple states, stayed in hotels, rode in the vehicle quiet and no carsickness), taken many places with video the buyer asked for on how the puppy reacted to a variety of surfaces, "problems", etc. I would not expect price to go *down* unless there were problems.

I agree with everyone...I usually keep the prices of my puppies until they're like 6 months old (Puppy Price)...Unless it's an exceptional puppy...But if everything's good...Both testicles...teeth...so on...then I will raise the price somewhat...But I am looking for the Drives too...So that's all part of the equation that I'm looking for...To me Temperament is definitely the first and foremost thing...Without that I have nothing...
If the puppy turns a year old and I put more time into them along with everything else then the price keeps going up...
I appreciate everyone's input...I've always wondered what others do according to Age and Cost...
