Hi
Firstly sorry for my English.
I am gonna to buy a pupy from Germany, I live in UK. It will be my first working line puppy. Currently I have 2 years old male (show line son of Fulz di Zenevredo). I started do IPO with my current dog since I have him and I love it. Unfortunatelly my dog is diagnosis with moderate hip dysplasia and he seems be not strong enought during protection. I keep training with him, I keep learning on him how to be a good handler. I did not planning a second dog, but dysplasia make me really worry... We keep obedience trainig (avoid retreiving over the wall, jumping), we both love tracking and we do gently biting work (helper know his hips so we do this is gently way).
I made a decision to buy a puppy for sport- female. I do not have kennels, my both dogs will be with me in home. I believe a couple(male, female) will be easier more than two males....I am able to separate dogs during female season
I am quaiet new with working line, I know many of them from IPO club where we attend to train but I need an advise or opinion.
What do you think, is the puppy is right for beginner handler, do you know the dogs in the puppy s pedigree?

You do not have to import to get a good working line puppy, there are several good breeders of working lines in UK.  It will be easier to get help and backup from a breeder in UK too.  What club do you train at?

Two Rivers IPO Club.
I started with Severside. Firstly I was planing do IPO to show my male in working class during British seiger, but I was told my dog is not suitable for protection work.We attended to Severside for few months. I have never do sport with dog before- all of this was completly new for me.After few months we stopped , I do some obedience and tracking in public park just for myself but I missed watching diffrent dogs during working.I contacted Two Rivers club because 2 reason- they were much closer from my home and I was told that there is an experience helper Ian so I decided to try again. Slowly we started have some progress in our biting work, finally our obedience looks good and we were good in tracking. I was so happy and the nightmare came- dysplasia score 44/15.
I keep my dog train but I would like to do sport in 100 procent, I can not do this with my current dog.
I am beginner handler, I have learnt a lots with my show line male and I believe I am ready to start train with good drive dog.
Can you recommend me breeders in UK? I was speaking few a couple of them but I was not happy with the litters they have.
Because of my experience with dysplasia I am looking for possibly the lowest score for hips
and with good healthy offsprings and sibling from parents.

I know that Lakatamia GSDs have an excellent female puppy still available, sired by Kid vom Haus Valkenplatz.  Gangskuza also have a well bred litter, but not sure if there are any females left.  If you email me on kaffirdog@yahoo.com I wil reply with the contact details.  They are not on your doorstep, but a lot nearer than Germany Regular Smile

You are on a good way - do your homework - but if there is any chance to find a good pup in your country - go for it.
A good breeder needs good owners, and a owner ready to train and maybe title is worth a lot.
I´m with Kaffirdog, try to find a pup locally, maybe she is able to help.
All the best!

Why not buy a slightly older pup 12 or 13 months that has had their hips evaluated by the SV? Wouldn't cost that much more. Their drives and suitability for the sport can be seen better than in a puppy. Also you wouldn't have to worry about her hips after you spent your time, money and energy on another one that turns out to have bad hips.
