Please give your thoughts on what you would say if this were your dog and your money. 3.5yr old female.

Here, I upped the sharpness and messed around with contrast a  bit to try and make it slightly less fuzzy.

I would say YOWZA regarding the hip to the right of the screen in particular. Although, my untrained eyes tell me the left isn't very good either. Even though positioning isn't great....

horrible xray.  horrible position.  left hip doesn't look good though.  sorry.  a bad hip is managable if you love the
dog & want to give them a good quality life.  :)  best of luck.    pjp

I am NOT an expert and this is just an educated guess, based on what I have tried to learn over the years.  I am going to give this a try and am interested in what others have to say. Here goes: First of all, the positioning is extremely poor on the hip x-ray, so I would recommend a retake in proper position. The hip on the right side of the x-ray, which I believe is the left hip, is moderately or severely dysplastic. The ball appears to be subluxated, but it may be due to the poor positioning.  The one on the left side of the screen, which I believe is the right hip, might go OFA fair or mildly dysplastic. There appears to be remodeling of the ball. The elbows- I have no clue. You can tear me up and I won't be offended.

Wow...positioning was almost as bad as my Rottie's was. I wonder if the owner's vet made them prepay, too. Seriously. Wouldn't do the xrays until I paid for them first. Live and you learn, I guess.

Hips are some of the worst positioned ive seen in a very long time. You cannot tell anything from from it!
Same dog, xrays taken within a few months of each other, but different vets...neither was positioned perfectly.
Positioning makes all the difference in the world!
I would be pissed at the vet for the usless xray.

Transitional vertabra making the pelvis uneven or are the films not being held flat while they are being photographed?

Gosh, Christine. I'm not sure. I'm trying to get better pictures sent to me. Novice owner.

Can you suggest a decent vet close to where she lives?

I was going to ask the board. I'm waiting to find out where they live. Somewhere in GA is all I know. It's not my dog. I didn't breed it, either. There are actually 2 dogs and ALL the xrays are horrid- fuzzy and faint and just BAD. Not even diagnostic.
