This pup was all prey drive, but recently she is beginning to become more civil during protection phase. She is friendly and confident in every day situations.
We're still using a pillow and trying to keep it fur and bring the prey drive out and fade the civil a bit.
Any suggestions?

really need a vid to see what you are saying in text, could be nerving out? how does the dog get civil if it is not being worked civilly (word?)?? i can't see how a dog can get civil unless actually stimulated that way?

I don't get it...the big complaint on showlines is nit enough civil defense,
now comes one, and it's to much,
What the f&#* do people want from their dog, FROM THE BREED, REALLY, WHAT?

Im not complaining!
Id just like to see a bit more prey drive at this age.
And am asking for suggestions on how to help to bring it out.

Could it be that your helper is putting to much pressure on the youngster and needs to back off a little until she matures mentally enough to handle it?

Either there is too much decoy pressure for a dog with normal thresholds or a dog with a too low a nerve threshold for a decoy with very little pressure.
As asked = show a video. It will show decoy work and dog's body posture.
