I just joined and I have to tell ya I dont know if I want to stay! I just bought a puppy and was looking for a site that I could talk to other GSD owners. Hopefully to gain some insite and feedback from people who have done this before. I am by no means an expert not even close but we all have to start somewhere. So what do I do? I go to the message board to look and see if there are others that feel the same way. OMG! I read only one post, I believe it was titled something about "what am I doing wrong", thinking hey if someone has a problem I may have that problem in the future better look and see if this is information I may be able to use. Boy was I wrong. The only thing I got from that post was others being hateful and nasty to each other. I am scared to post anything for fear I will get told "your irresponsible you shouldnt have bought a GSD" Like I said before we all have to start somewhere. Maybe I should keep looking for a site that will be helpful not hateful. By the way I dont know any of you and I dont have an opinion about the person that posted that particular message. Maybe I just happened upon the wrong message to set an example of this site. Thank you for your time

YOU Guys !!!! Why are you not rolling out the welcome mat and asking zeusnewmom to STAY with us ??? zeusnewmom, Please stay with us, Yes you will find those that are less than helpful here from time to time, However there is a great amount of knowledge to be absorbed here, You just have to toughen up your toes and only heed the words of those who you will in time come to respect, You dont' have to agree with them all the time, Everyone has the right to their own opinion keeping that in mind you will learn to sort out those who wish to offer good/sound/advice/opinions and those who would seek to just be onry for a daily thrill. I hope yo will stay with us, But regardless I do hope you find a mentor. Mostly Have more fun than you can imagine with your new family member !! Best of Luck to you, regards.

Don't run off too quickly, there are more good folks here than petty ones.

Ok, this board can get nasty. However, It can also bring out the best in everyone. It is a very good place to learn about the breed WE all love. I have met alot of very helpful people from all over the world. Just pass over the backbiting and take from here the good it can provide. If you read the whole post, you will see she did get offers of help.

Having just recovered from a small whipping myself, I wasn't sure if it was fair to expose a new GSD owner to those who are not so "helpful' LOL. Not everyone has alligator skin like we do, Mitch.
