OK I expect to catch some you know what for this but here goes anyway. We are looking for a Male GSD pup or younger adult that my daughter can begin showing in SV ring this year or next. Daughter is an expeirienced handler in the show ring due to her 4-H showing I know there are differences so does she and she has been Adjusting over to more strict regs of AKC and SV ring styles. We want a dog that has "substantial potential" to KKL1 and SchH3. and do well in the Sv ring V,VA . The dog WILL be part of our family, I know some of you don't agree with this, But it's the way it's done here, We enjoy the bonds we have with our dogs and it's just a must for us. We would consider a Co-Own if someone has one they would like to retain some future breeding rights to. The dog/pup Must have Excellent Temperament as it will be living in our home with our children, other dogs, cats, and we have several guests/vistors/family in our house every week. Prelims would be nice, but if too young, Parents and at least 3 to 4 generations of Good or Better ratings would be appeasing. Black and Red would be given more consideration and that is just a personal prefference, Saddle pattern great, but blanket is fine as well. My daughter wants a dog she can "GO" with, meaning she would like to take this dog and go through the schH training/trialing, and would like to KKL, and would like to show as they are available at a distance to us, But we would make efforts to attend as many as we could. We would preffer to keep the distance to a minimum so Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho would be preffered states to purchase this dog from, We are firm beleivers in FACE to FACE dealings and much preffer to meet the dogs and view temperaments for ourselves of parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and so on. OK I realize I'm asking or alot here, and as I said, We are in NO hurry. Any information constructive critisism welcome. Thanks everyone. Oh the daughter is 15 almost 16. I have been searching for a while for an appropriate candidate, and just keep coming up empty mostly due to demographics.

Demographics would be the problem. I don't have an top-level SchH/Show candidate pup right now, but I have 3 12 wk. old red sable pups showing tons of potential, from V-rated working parents, a1 hips back as far as I can research. Shelley Strohl 610-392-7197

i am not sure why you thought you were going to get flack on your post, but i would like to applaud you for getting your daughter involved. young people today do not show a lot of interest in dog sports, showing or breeding. what a pity. there's a few scattered around the country, but as a whole its us older folks that are involved. we aren't going to be around forever.....darnit. if you can afford a high end prospect for your daughter - more power to ya, and i hope she sticks with it. a few years ago i was working with a gal who had a sis that was on fire for agility sport. she was a young gal at home with her folks, still in h.s. but worked on the side and trained her dog on weekend. a good kid, stayed out of trouble. she was getting no support from her parents what so ever. i really felt bad for her. i told the one that i worked with to tell her parents they'd aught to thank their lucky stars that she was such a good kid and interested in a wholesome activity instead of out raising hell like the others her age. she even worked hard to keep her grades up so they would "allow" her to go to train. i just think its so important for parents to be supportive if the kid has any interest in a constructive activiity.....band, sports, art.....whatever. i wish your daughter luck and hope she and her dog do well.

ziegenfarm, I agree so very much. Keeping them busy, keeps them out of trouble. Dog sports is a wonderful time flller/lessons in responsibilty and one that gives back to them so much. I think high schools should promote activities with the dogs.

I may not have heard the phone. Been sick (bronchial infection) and not paying a lot of attention. Feel free to try again. I am located in Lehighton, PA... no where near WA. BTW: I DO ship puppies. Shelley

I have one of Shelleys puppies,& have seen the parents of these pups as well as the rest of the litter, & they are super! I can't say enough good things about Shelley & her dogs. I have, & will continue to, send any of my friends looking for a GSD to her. She's also great at matching puppies to people, my little guy is just what I wanted! So, yes, it's a distance, but she has the goods, and you can deal with her with 100% confidence. JO

You Breed, why aren't you keeping a pup from your own litter?
