I just wanted to show off my new puppy, Lyra vom Huerta Hof. She's a fun little tyke, and very smart. Here she is with the rest of the pack: Arianna v Mittelwest (blk/red), Raven v Nordosten Haus (black bicolor), and Mickey Finn (the JRT). As puppies go, she's one of the best: excellent drives, calm in her crate, and very eager to learn. She's already grasped the ever-important skill of sitting by the door to go out, and barking if I don't notice her sitting there.

Here's a link to her pedigree: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2121049

Very cute! I know her grand father(Rookie) very well.. and also her mother...Her mother Izzy was a very cute pup.

Keep us updated on how she is doing..

She is beautiful, I love her dark reverse raccoon mask and pointy ears! Please post more pictures as she grows, you can never have too many puppy pictures :) I hope the gang grows up to be good friends - I'm surprised they all were in one shot LOL. My showline female was livid for weeks when I brought home my workingline male but once she got over it now they are the absolute best of friends and have been for years. I love workinglines but my SL female is just the best dog ever. Congrats on the new addition!

I love her little face too; I think it makes her very expressive. Generally I have a pretty easy time getting dog packs to relax together. It's really something when they're all piled in the bed with me, heh. Of course when I'm not around, everyone's kept crated because dogs will be dogs. I'll post more pictures, but group-shots are a bit limited right now. My male, Raven, had a haematoma surgery, and is wearing a most undignified cone until his ear's healed. I'll have to watch Arianna as Lyra gets older. Ari's great with males, but not always so tolerant of females. She's much better than she was, it's taken time and patient training and these days she's rather ignore another female than react to one. Arianna is an excellent mother though, and displays infinite patience with the pups she had. Still, for the peace of the whole pack, puppy Lyra is gently reminded by Yours Truly that the big dogs are not toys, and playing must be a mutually enjoyable activity for both parties. "It's only fun if everyone's having fun!" ;-)
