Hello!
I have a few questions on a few different pedigrees and breeders. I was hoping to get some good input and advice.
I am in search of a DDR Line dog. I have found a kennel that strikes my interest. The name is De Juco Kennel. They have a few upcoming litters, and they sent me the pedigrees and line breeding
Here is the line breeding for the litter: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/breeding.result?father=639866&mother=687672
Second kennel of interest: Upcoming breeding between these two dogs. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=733936-zoran-stasi X http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=752218-casta-stasi
Hoping to reach out to a few folks that know more about the lineages and breeders. Thank you

These are MY opinions:
The first kennel of interest: I like this breeding much better. But I would look at what health tests have been done and how proven the Dam is even though she doesn't have titles. If I were to choose based on just what you've supplied, I'd choose the first interest.
The second kennel of interest: Sire and Dam are very nice looking, but there is too close of linebreeding and too close on dogs who have not been titled. Other questions is what health test have been completed. I'm not a stickler on titles (my police dog's sire and dam were not titled) but there were proven lineage throughout the rest.
Obviously, the breeders ethics, contract, etc. would all be considered.

If the dog is worth being bred, it is worth getting some type of title on.

The second kennel is interesting in a different way- it's interesting in what he breeds for- if you want more of the standard, pet-type DDR dog, I'd say go with the first. Alex at Stasi is a bit different in his approach and the geography has much to do with titles (or lack of) and not everyone values titles as much as others. The breeding is close- you might research the dogs its linebred on closely and decide from there. Have you talked w/Stasi kennels yet? He speaks very good English, actually. He'll tell you why he did the breeding if you ask and what he expects them to mature to be. Whether it's anything you're interested in remains to be seen. Just because a dog is linebred doesn't mean it's going to be unhealthy- that's where the research into the background comes in. I have no experience with the dogs close up, but if you're interested in Addi v. h. Fasold, just ask Pam Cyrene at Alte Ahnen.
