My clown fish is dying and it's horrible to watch! He's 12 years old and I have him in the "hospital tank", where he's been for a week. I put medicine in, but I think he's just dying from old, old, old age, they usually don't live past 6. But it's horrible to watch and I'm getting to where I'm wishing there were a humane euthanasia for fish! I just can't flush him, he's been part of the family for twelve years!

Do you know how much ice it would take to cool that tank?
He's been laying in the corner for a week and a half, a week in this tank. He will eat if the food floats to him, but that's about it.

I gotta share this,
My mail man, or sometimes he's a she they alternate so I'm not sure which.
I come home the other day and it's freezing and at the mailbox I see where the mail person has left a package hanging by the bag from a neighbors mailbox door at the road side for all too see.
It's a styrofoam carton in a plastic bag and it says live fish...
They didn't leave it at the post office with a notice in the box like they should have done, and I doubt they drove up the hill to attempt to deliver it to his house, they just hung it there at the side of the road.
I've seen them do it with Christmas packages too.
Not like we don't get our mail stolen from time to time, or placed in the wrong box.
It stayed there all afternoon till the guy got off work I suspect.

Thanks Moons, if he's still hanging on in the morning, I just might put him on ice, but I don't think it will be instant. I don't want to watch, could you come over and do it for me? I'll be at work, but I'll leave the door open :(

You know what they do to Lobsters........
Just kidding..... I'm sure your attached to it.
I'd rather freeze than burn if that helps, Inuit peoples did it that way once.
