Anyone see/own the Helmut Raiser Aristo DVD? it is a 2 DVD set of 6 hours of footage of Raiser training what I assume to be his last BSP winner.

The DVD is in PAL format which is the german DVD encoding - we use NTSC here. The merchant claims it will work in computer DVD players and "some" DVD drives. Not mine :)
There are very elaborate methods on the internet for converting PAL to NTSC but I'd just like to watch it straight up on my PC. My DVD software won't play it - does anyone know of a SAFE (ie. doesn't install spyware, trojans, etc on your PC), free region free, PAL DVD player that I can snag?

We have it but haven't had time to watch yet. Maybe it will be our movie night tonight. and tomorrow night and Monday night....

so where can you buy this dvd now? went to justk9 and it says it is closed.
cledford, did you ever find a dvd player that will work? i have a cheap one (about 40 bucks) and it will play both formats. brand name is "lasonic"
