My question is twofold; first, do they REALLY work as far as being picked up by whatever scanner is around? And, secondly, anyone know if they migrate? I've been using HomeAgain for years, none have migrated, but the last batch I ordered, 4 didn't read after implantation, and I had problems with 3 others literally falling out of the syringe prior to insertion. It was like quality just went way downhill between last batch I ordered and previous batches. So, I'm looking for a cost-effective alternative. No puppies leave here without a microchip.

Here's the product page: http://www.revivalanimal.com/Datamars-ID-Microchip.html

You might try the AKC system here is a link if there any that do not read they will replace them for free and they are cost effective to start with.  Every time someone registers a chip you get a free one to.

Here is a link to get you started   http://www.akcreunite.org//

Cool- I was going to look into that anyway. Thanks for the reminder. I ended up ordering the Datamars ones after reading a bit more about them. If I don't like them when they come, I'll donate them. They're only about $8/ea.

I used the Home Again ones also, until I had the same problems. When I contacted them about my last batch of chips not scanning once implanted(worked ok before implanting) they basically said to bad, so sad.
I switched to the AKC ones & have all my dogs/pups reg. with their CAR program. No problems & great customer service!

I ordered my HomeAgain ones through Revival and all I did was email them to tell them, just asking if HomeAgain would consider replacing them, and about 2 days later, I had replacements at my door, so I have no complaints there!
