Hi All: I am planning to get a show quality GSD pup (male, with red/black pigment) with excellent structure and temperament. I would like to get the pup in June/July time frame. My budget is $1500 - $2500, and I hope I should be able to get the pup of my choice in that budget. I would appreciate the experts help in this forum to recommend me to the right breeders. Since I live in San jose, CA , are there any top quality breeders within 200 mile range, so that I can save on the shipping charges. Thanks for the help.

Try Casacampioni Shepherds. They are in California, and have beautiful dogs. They also offer a full warranty on their pups. You won't find that many places. Tell them Pam sent you.

Mastan, I am in Oregon. I have a Lord Vom Georg Vicktor Turm daughter that we expect to be breeding with an Imported SV Line male in about 6 wks, which puts the pups ready to go in June/July, my female has in past litters produced some very nice pigment, Excellent temperaments, and the kicker is that she really puts some Drivey pups on the ground, Most of her pups are doing SchH, or other service jobs. email me I'll give you the details on both pedigrees. echomeadowsheps@aol.com Who knows maybe it's what your looking for.

How much research have you done? What will you use the dog for? Do you have the space and time? It appears that you have the money and are willing to spend it. That is why you got immediate offers to sell you a dog. Do your research as to what you want and then do your research on the breeder/seller. A large amount of what people want to sell you is crap. Be very careful in your purchase. You will be living with this animal for a long time....so take your time. Don't restrict yourself to a time frame, area, or dollar amount. You are looking for a long term companion, not a throw away toy. Lastly, be very careful; there are plenty of snake oil salesman out there.

Mastan, Prepare to be swamped with offers from many that have just the pup for you. Chances are your post will net you a pup that you think has a good pedigree, but, will most likely be an overpriced pet. Here's a link to an excellent article you may want to read. This is just the beginning. http://www.delconosur.net/pages/breeders.htm#three_mistakes You have only mentioned what you are willing to spend. No one knows what you plan to do with the pup. Can you train a pup? Do you know how to prepare and show a pup. Are you willing to travel to shows? Do you have the resources to raise a pup correctly and do you know how to do it? A breeder with a top prospect will either retain the prospect or offer it to another GSD enthusiast that has the resources and proven ability to do all of the above. There's simply too many qualified people wanting the top dogs to just send top prospects into never never land winding up in a pet home. You may get a more serious response if you list a little more about yourself and your resources. If you are a newcomer; that's great. I think there are many good people that will help you. You may want to seek a mentor your first time out and consider a co-ownership. When making your decision, check the results of whomever you are dealing with. If the person has not sold a top prospect before, chances are you will not be the first.

posting like this is going to get alot of offers of "great dogs" from all the breeders on this board. Look at them closely. Most of the regular posters have done nothing to very little, but use this place to make themselves feel important. So many lies and decits here. Very few respectabel people who show and trial and do good breeding post much. A few will now and then. Most of the info is posted by BYB or wannabe important people who do nothing or people who hide behind fake names or people on vendettas or crazy and jealous people or just plain stupidd and crazy people but they all will have pups to sell you that are worldbeaters - spend some time looking here and you will sort them out before you buy Dog1 and Patiala are OK they are active and known in the sch and show world Jim T
