Even after such successive results from top Bred in india dogs in the youth class males and youth class females , some are still cribbing and complaining. It was all for our own Good, as mentioned in the previous posts by Patiala, a judge may fire the gunshot as many times he/she wants, as to evaluate the character or temperament of the dogs being shown under him/her and he/she has all the right and authority to do so. We should support the Club for their contribution in improving the show standards in India and thus helping our country in being at par with the top countries in the world! Gunshot is just the initial step towards Schutzhund and we should be proud that we've been able to introduce gunshot and measurement early this year. As far as high rated and imported dogs are concerned, we should consider ourselves lucky for having access to such high rated quality dogs with fresh bloodlines from Germany! We should make optimum use of all these dogs and improve the quality further and hope to see them gaining top honours at every sieger show like this one. If one noticed the case in most classes, In the puppy class females, the winning female was handled by an Indian and the runner up was handled by a German handler, but still the judge placed the better one above all despite being handled by an indian handler! Even in the Youth class males the winning dog was handled by an Indian Handler and still finished over a fresh import which was handled by a German Handler! Again the winning female in the youth class was handled by an indian handler and the runner up was handled by a german handler.Same was the case in the Young class Males though both the dogs were imported, the winning dog was handled by an indian handler and the runner up was handled by a foreign handler. So this clarifies that the judging was thus fair and there was no specific preference as far as the handlers or dogs are concerned. The only thing that mattered was the skill at handling and the quality of the dogs. People who spend a lot of money on getting top dogs from germany, make sure that their dogs are shown at their best and thus ask their German friends to come over and handle for them. It's only because they're really good at their sport and they've been doing it for much longer than us, so what we should do is watch and learn rather than criticise people who are masters at their craft. Mr.Jumanji, you shouldn't be behaving like this and making personal attacks at people will take you no where! There were other top dogs who failed the Gun Test but they politely acknowledged the judges decision and left the ring with their dogs. The person according to you who helped the judge was only carrying the gun and handing it over after reloading it. The number of times the gunshot is to be fired is solely the judges discretion. I don't understand why someone would want any B.I dog to be placed at the back as anyway the top slot involved dogs of very high quality. Any dog who couldn't pass the requirements for a working dog had to be excused. I hope this makes it clear!

Well said Anu. I agree with you totally on this thing that its solely on Judge's discretion that how many times he wants to fire a gunshot. In our Seigershow Peter Fetten shot fire three times just in order to make sure about just one dog. It happens. A judge is judge and we should honor him when we invite him to judge our shows. Thats what is basic pre-requisite.

What is there to agree. Its understood that one should abide by the judgement. If we have any grievences it should be posted before the concerned club that organised the show.If we feel that there are certain misappropriations that took place during the show they need to regretted and should be escalated to the KCI authorities.

Anu how many gsds do you own and how many dogs have you shown. How good is the progeny of your so called imports in germany and in india. Then kindly tell me that how do your so called highly placed imports get beaten by our bad bi's. The only two functional lines are quando/stubco and only they have produced in their 1st,2nd generation.
