Just want opinions on this dog that was rated 0/0 ED

Houston, we have a problem.

i don't recall having seen elbows xrayed with that much extention.  usually they have them bent much tighter.  personally, i'm not sure how much difference it
actually makes.  it doesn't change the shape of the joint itself or the tip which would show debris either way.

Any opinions on these elbows?

by Nans gsd on 21 December 2013 - 18:12

Looks like arthritic changes to me.  Not sure though, elbows are not my thing.  Sorry.  Nan

Certainly doesn't look good. Age of dog? How much time has passed since dog was allegedly rated 0/0 and this film?

Dog is 2.5 yo. Was done at 12 months.

are both elbows the same?
has the dog sustained an injury?

Really don't know about injury. Friend emailed those to me. I am not good with elbows. That is why I wanted some opinions.

I'm no expert and the positioning is terrible so I just compared this to my dog's x-ray. The end of the humerus is very rough indicating significant arthritic changes so I can believe this is a bad elbow.
