I just got the verification back from Gracie's microchip information from 24 Pet Watch.
They have her breed wrong. They have her colour wrong. They have my address as being XX Line instead of XX Sideroad. AND they have her listed as a crossbreed instead of a German Shepherd!!
What makes the address mistake all the worse, is the XX Line is just a short distance to the south of my home!
So, just a heads-up to check your dog's registration when you get it in the mail. I filled in and mailed the form myself, so the mistakes were the responsibility of the bozo who was doing the data entry. The website also made logging in and changing the information a real PITA. They also did not give me the option of changing the dog's colour. Well, I posted a picture, so if she does go missing they will just have to look at the photo to know black and red/tan does NOT translate as 'tricolor'!
Next time, I'm registering my dog online!

Horrendous ! Do they not realise dogs' lives can depend on chip info.?
Maybe other posters will tell us if they have had similar problems with
24 Pet Watch. Meanwhile, at least potential new customers have been
warned off.
Can safely say I have never had more than the odd typo in mistakes, and not
many of those, when using chipping companies in the UK - I don't think "24
Pet Watch" operates over here, thank goodness.

Can't complain about Home Again, so far. Registration info went through just as I submitted it, getting into the dogs' files on the website was simple, and so far I've gotten several alerts when dogs in my general area are reported missing, so that's reassuring as well--if the owner has posted pictures in the dog's file, the alert includes the photos, too.
Would definitely complain to 24 Pet Watch about their very serious errors in recording the data you submitted--like you say, when the address they use is off, it makes the whole thing pointless. Really sucks.

A few of my pets have 24 Hr Pet Watch and you can update any info online, even upload photos, give permission for them to give out your contact info if someone calls, etc.

Don't worry, I have it all sorted out now. But I shudder to think what might have happened if I hadn't double-checked the info I received in the mail!

I've had similar things happen when I bring a new dog to the vet the first time. Now, I tell them what info to plug in because one time I looked at my printed receipt and it listed my dog's breed, weight, and coat type all wrong! They must've just eyeballed him when we checked in but I don't know what dog they were looking at...
